We’re Awesome

We can’t be afraid to admit our flaws. We can’t be afraid that we’ll fail. We can’t be afraid that we’ll say the wrong thing or make the wrong move. We can’t be afraid that we’ll look like a fool.

The only thing we can be afraid of is dying without having actually lived. Of spending our time here slaving away at a job we hate. With a spouse we can’t stand. In a life we definitely did not order.

We should be afraid of not living. We spend so much time just getting by that we forget to actually enjoy what’s around us. I understand, we have pain and baggage and circumstances we can’t control, but what we can control is how we digest this life. We get to choose between living by the rules versus living freely with the sole purpose of enjoyment.

I’m the type of person that puts laughter before responsibility. I put playtime before work. I relax when I want to and work when the mood strikes me. I’m allowed this freedom, because I have my own company, but this is WHY I need to have my own company. This is how I feel free and happy and so full of life that it’s almost ridiculous.

There is always a reason to settle. There is always something knocking on our door just waiting to make us unhappy. There is always a surmounting pile of evidence telling us that we can’t do what we want and that we are completely inadequate. Fuck ‘em.

We’re awesome.
