about – personal
i want experiences. i don’t want run-of-the-mill or half-assed bullshit.
i want laughter that makes my entire body ache. the kind that makes the back of my head hurt. the kind that makes me look at the person who inspired such laughter with pure admiration.
i want everything to be real and authentic and honest and i don’t.ever.settle.for.less. ever.
i want to push boundaries and live life as who i am, not as some scrapbooked version of others.
i like when people call me by nicknames. my favorite lately has been “jamesicle.” i like to be crushed on. i like to be desired. i like to be surprised and inquired about.
i like to talk about what’s going on in my life and dissect the people around me. i like to observe, but jump in at the same time. i like to be everywhere at once.
if you’re in my life, i’ve analyzed you. i’ve tried to understand you further and push beneath the surface of who you are. i like crushes that are confusing and complex because it gives me something to intellectually decipher.
i think life is meant to be lived in however definition of living you can come up with. judge yourself by your own standards. and always, i mean… ALWAYS, be willing to fall on your face and laugh about it later.
these are my words. this is what i’ll tell the world. listen or don’t listen; it’s your choice.

I couldn’t agree more. This blog reeks of honesty and that is admirable.
Thank you Stacey.
One of my utmost personal goals is to be authentic in every aspect of my life. =)
awesome. you have a new subscriber. keep being real!
I *heart* your design work here more than sanely possible. I want to cuddle up with it and dab it behind my ears. And freedom and authenticity are the two things that drive me to breathe in and out every day. Count me subscribed.
Now I’m glad that I slogged through your three (3!) “About Me” areas, because I get to leave a comment.
I’ve spent the last 30 minutes reading 7-9 of your posts and checking out links, and I’m very impressed. Getting a job, building a personal brand, or running a business: you’re right – there’s no magic formula. There’s no how-to that’ll work for everyone. You just have to be yourself, work hard, help people, and do the right thing.
Yes, do the right thing.
Every.
Time.
I’m glad you emphasized that, because it’s been hard for me to find in the business world, even at a great company.
Believe in yourself, and even when you don’t, just keep on trying. Encourage yourself like you’d encourage a friend. People will remember you for what you’ve done for them, and they’ll tell others about the value you bring.
Geez, I sound like I’m giving myself a pep talk here.
I’ll end this note by simply saying that you’re a breath of fresh air in this space. I’m subscribed, you’re in my “I Like” section of Twitter, and I’ll comment on your stuff where applicable.
Peace out.
Jamie, you are too cute! That’s all I’ve got to say about that.
I enjoy reading your posts and have long admired the design of your blog. Using it as inspiration for a redesign actually ^^
Keep it up!
